π Welcome to the Future of AI Agents!
Join us for an exciting week-long adventure into the world of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and AI Agents! This hackathon brings together developers, AI enthusiasts, and innovators to push the boundaries of what's possible with Anthropic's MCP and agentic systems.

π οΈ Hackathon Tracks
π§ Track 1: MCP Server Implementation
Build, extend, or innovate on MCP servers with Gradio. Create powerful tools that leverage the full potential of the Model Context Protocol.
π§© Track 2: Custom Agent Components
Design and develop custom Gradio components specifically optimized for agent interactions. Make agent interfaces more intuitive, responsive, and powerful.
π€ Track 3: Agentic Demo Showcase
Create a complete end-to-end gradio application that demonstrates the power of AI agents (using MCP or not). Show us what agents can do!
π Prizes
Total prize pool: $10,000 USD in cash plus more goodies
For each track:

- π₯ Second Place: $500 USD

π How to Participate
- Join our Organization: Click the "Request to join this org" button at the top right corner of this page
- Register: Fill out this registration form
- Form a Team: Teams of 1-5 members allowed
- Build Your Project: Follow the specific guidelines for your chosen track
- Submit: Push your project to this organization before the deadline (June 1, 2025, 11:59 PM UTC)

- May 26: Live-kickoff YouTube event to set the tone and welcome the participants (9:00 AM UTC)

Track 1: MCP Server Implementation
- Your submission must implement or extend the MCP specification
- Include a README.md with:
- Overview of your implementation
- Setup instructions
- Examples of usage
- Tag your repository with "mcp-server-track"
Track 2: Custom Agent Components
- Component must be compatible with Gradio's latest version
- Include a demo showing the component in action
- Provide documentation on component usage
- Tag your repository with "custom-component-track"
Track 3: Agentic Demo
- Create a complete application that showcases AI agents
- Include a video demo (max 5 minutes)
- Provide setup instructions
- Tag your repository with "agent-demo-track"

Q: Do I need to have experience with MCP to participate? A: No! We welcome participants of all skill levels. We'll provide resources to help you get started.
Q: Can I participate as an individual? A: Yes! You can participate as an individual or in a team of up to 5 members.
Q: How will projects be judged? A: Projects will be evaluated based on innovation, technical implementation, usability, and impact. Community votes will also be considered for the Community Choice award.
Q: Will there be support available during the hackathon? A: Yes! We'll have daily office hours with experts, a dedicated Discord channel, and comprehensive documentation.
